Praying for Iran

Lord, we cry out to You on behalf of Iran, a nation filled with people precious in Your sight. We ask that Your Spirit sweep across this land, awakening the conscience of the people and drawing them toward Your eternal light. We pray for the leadership, that they would be moved by Your sovereign power to pursue justice and righteousness. Father, protect the believers in Iran who meet in quiet corners; let them experience Your supernatural presence and provision. May they be like the early church, filled with the Holy Spirit and emboldened to spread the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. We pray that the word of God would multiply and the number of disciples would increase greatly. In the midst of difficulties, may Your people be a living testament to the victory of the Cross. We speak life and restoration over this nation, believing that You are making a way where there seems to be no way. As the waters cover the sea, may the knowledge of Your glory cover Iran. Let the chains of spiritual oppression be broken by the power of Your love, leading many into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
