Giving is at the heart of the Gospel. 'For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son' (John 3:16). Every act of giving in our lives is a reflection of the greatest act of giving in history — God giving His Son for us. When we give, we look like our Father.
Scripture teaches that giving is not an obligation but an opportunity. Paul wrote to the Corinthians, 'Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver' (2 Corinthians 9:7). Giving is an act of worship, an expression of trust, and a participation in what God is doing on the earth.
Your generosity fuels outreach, feeds the hungry, supports the prophetic ministry, and carries the Gospel to the nations. Every gift — great or small — is a seed sown into eternity. And God, who is faithful, multiplies what is given with joy.
We give because God gave first. We give because giving breaks the hold of materialism on our hearts. We give because our resources are not our own — they are entrusted to us by God to be stewarded for His purposes. Giving is one of the most powerful acts of spiritual warfare, because it declares that our trust is in God, not in money.
Jesus said, 'Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also' (Matthew 6:21). Giving reorients our hearts toward heaven. When we invest in God's kingdom, our affections follow our investment. We begin to care about what God cares about, and our perspective shifts from earthly to eternal.

The Bible lays out clear principles for giving: give first (the tithe), give proportionally, give cheerfully, give generously, and give sacrificially. The tithe — the first ten percent of our income — is the biblical starting point, an acknowledgment that everything we have comes from God.
But giving goes beyond the tithe. Offerings are gifts above the tithe for specific needs and causes. Alms are gifts to the poor and needy. And then there is sacrificial giving — when we give in a way that costs us something, mirroring the sacrifice of Christ. Each level of giving reflects a deeper level of trust and devotion.
