Divine Protection
Psalm 91 is one of the most powerful protection passages in all of Scripture. "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." The key word is "dwells." Not visits. Not checks in occasionally. Dwells. The protection God offers is not for the casual believer — it is for the one who has made God's presence their permanent address.
Divine protection is not passive. It is activated by your faith, your confession, and your prayer. Proverbs 18:10 says the name of the Lord is a strong tower — the righteous run into it and are safe. You have to run in. You have to position yourself under that covering. Prayer for protection is how you do that daily.
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.' Surely He will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge... No harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways."
Psalm 91:1-4, 10-11
"Father God, I come before You this day and I place myself under Your covering. I declare that I dwell in the shelter of the Most High. I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind, my body, my home, my vehicles, my finances, and everyone connected to me. I ask You to assign angels around me and my family to guard us in all our ways. I declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. No accident. No attack. No sickness. No evil report. We are hidden in the shadow of Your wings. I commit my day into Your hands and I trust that You are watching over us. In Jesus' name, Amen."
