Dare to dream

Dare to dream

Do you have a dream? One of the most powerful ways to transform your life is by daring to dream big, bold, faith-filled dreams. You can imagine new possibilities for your future and work to achieve them, trusting that God is with you every step of the way. As Ephesians 3:20 reminds us, God is able to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine.

Achieving any dream—whether it’s advancing in your career, strengthening your marriage, or building a brighter future for your children—requires a change in mindset. When you shift from fear to faith and from doubt to optimism, you start moving toward your goals.

When thoughts like, "It's too difficult," or "I'm too old," arise, remind yourself that your attitude shapes your success.

- Instead of saying, "I can't do it," say, "I can do all things through Christ" (Philippians 4:13).

- Instead of thinking, "This is impossible," declare, "With God, nothing is impossible" (Matthew 19:26).

- When you're worried it won't work out, shift your perspective to, "What if it does?" (Hebrews 11:1).

When God places a dream in your heart, you play a crucial role in bringing it to life. It takes planning, sacrifice, and perseverance, especially when challenges arise. But the good news is, God will always give you the strength you need to follow through. And when your strength feels insufficient, His strength will be more than enough. If you remain faithful to your part, God will do His.

Don’t give up on your dreams when you feel weak or unsure. As 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) promises, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

When I first started in ministry, I had a dream to help people all over the world through teaching God’s Word. That dream didn’t happen overnight. It required hard work, patience, and faith. There were times when meetings didn’t go as planned, and resources were scarce, but we kept going. Instead of quitting, we trusted God and stayed committed to His calling. When one door closed, He opened a better one, proving time and again that His grace was enough.

The same is true for you. If you entrust your dreams to God and commit to doing your part, He’ll handle the things beyond your control. That’s the essence of grace—God’s unearned favor and power to achieve what we cannot on our own.

The Bible is full of dreamers with big aspirations. David, as a shepherd, likely dreamed of being king after Samuel anointed him. Joseph, wearing his coat of many colors, must have wondered about the favor God had placed on his life. Mary, pregnant with Jesus, surely imagined the joys and challenges of raising the Messiah. Paul, traveling from city to city, dreamed about the growth of the early church.

Dreaming big is part of our spiritual DNA. God designed us to dream, hope, and plan for extraordinary things in our lives.

So, today, I encourage you: Dare to dream. Dream about where God can lead you, what He can teach you, and how He can transform your circumstances. When you begin to dream, your joy will increase. Ask God for a dream that blesses not only your life but also the lives of others. Then, step out in faith and trust God to guide you forward, one step at a time.
